As I held my New Year’s Personal Planning Day today, I looked back at this past year and just marveled.
A year ago, I sat in the same Panera coffee shop and jotted down notes and budgets, wondering if I’d have a baby in the coming year, pondering what it’d be like to adopt, making my cleaning charts and budget charts…
Who would have imagined what the year would have held?
How could I have imagined that in 2013 I’d have two miscarriages, one surgery, (lots of medical bills) and, amazingly, usher in the next year at ten weeks pregnant?
What a year.
My blog has grown tremendously this year, as well. Last January, I had zero “followers,” and not even a Facebook page. Now I’m a contributor to three of my favorite sites and am continually amazed to see people from all over the world that I don’t even know commenting on and reading my posts.
Here are some of the most popular posts from this year:
How to Introduce Your Child to Jesus – this most has been pinned almost 20,000 times. I couldn’t imagine a post I’d rather have as my most-read post!
What it Looks Like When God Plans Your Family – This was a recent guest post at The Better Mom which was tremendously popular. In just 12 hours, it was liked/shared over 1000 times, and I just cried…I kept thinking back to those awful moments of the past year, and felt so grateful that the Lord had brought meaning and purpose out of those difficult moments.
