Hi friends, Facebook is the best. And it’s the worst. And it’s everything and how did we live without it? I’ll cut to the chase – if you are like me, and sometimes feel frustrated at the amount of time you spend on Facebook, but powerless to actually make sustainable changes, then I can help. Yes, there is a solution short of doing that dramatic #stuffwhitepeopledo step of “quitting Facebook” – which usually means leave for a glorious three months, and return to become just as hooked as you were in the first place.
My solution is sustainable, simple, and totally free. I spent months looking for, and trying, a myriad of potential solutions. I have literally tried them all.
THERE IS ONE THAT IS BEST.
It’s called “Waste No Time” and you can find it here. It is not flashy, and looks like something a sophomore designed in coding class. BUT IT WORKS. You set the sites you want to limit, set your daily time limit, and then it blocks you out. You can bypass the system, but it is enough work (for me anyway) to discourage me from doing so without a very good reason.
I am using it on safari, and it also works on Chrome.
Note: It does not work for the Facebook app on iPhone.
So, what if you are primarily using Facebook on your phone? What if Instagram or Pinterest on your phone is your drug of choice?
I HAVE HELP FOR YOU, TOO.
