Sometimes we get very wrapped up in *our own* lives, don’t we? Here are some terrific ways to bless others around you, with your kids. We’ve done a few of these with our home school preschool co-op, but I bet they’d be great to do just as a family.
Find my post at The Better Mom on 10 the projects we’ve been doing and will do. I’d love to know – what’s your favorite service you did as a kid, or with your kids?

These are great ideas. What about something that can also help you build relationships and practice hospitality in your personal lives? How about thinking of people in your church fellowship with whom you can extend yourselves to (especially those who you may not know as well and can get to know better: senior citizens, singles who don’t have families in town, new members, visitors). How about baking cookies or make holiday cards for neighbors? How about volunteering to pick up/straighten up after worship service (in our church, the visitor cards, pens and envelopes can get disheveled… and bulletins get tucked into the pews…) Or, thinking of people you haven’t seen in awhile since they moved away (or you moved away) and send an encouragement card in the mail? I think that firemen are great, and need encouragement, but you don’t really get to build relationships with them. I think we need to take more time to build relationships with people and into their lives, just as much if not more than one time a year shoeboxes or once in 5 year cookie bake projects for policemen.
