Here are the things we want to do before our kids leave home. We figure we’d better squeeze most in before our oldest is 16 or so, because I’ve heard the teenage years get quite busy!
If you haven’t created a bucket list for your family, consider doing so now! If your kids are little, you could even do one of “Things We Want to Do With Our Kids Before They Turn 10” or something like that.
- Take each kid on a special “You’re 12” trip. This will vary kid to kid. One kid wants a fly-fishing trip, another to see the Dodgers play…my daughter…to ride on a plane. At this point she doesn’t even care where it lands 😉
- Go to Washington, D.C.
- take our RV out west
- go skiing
- take more beach vacations
- ride horses
- go bowling and roller skating (we’ve never done these but my kids are dying to try)
- Ride our bikes down the Virginia Creeper Trail
- Teach them how to read the Bible
- spend more time with grandparents
- go camping in our RV at least 15 more times around our area
- go to a major league baseball game
- go to California together
- go to Behold the Lamb Christmas concert together
- learn how to cook (more)
- more frisbee golfing, fishing, and regular golfing with Dad
- to be continued!
