One of our favorite ways to make memories in December is to make a “bucket list” for the things we really want to do, about one per day. Important note: It’s very grace-filled. By the end of December there are  always things we’ve not done: a few crafts we never touched, an adventure we never quite got around to… And this is FINE! This list is to serve our family, not vice versa. It’s here if we need an idea. I find doing the work ahead of time to plan is easier — less planning, more celebrating.

25 Days of Family Advent Activities

December 1 — Open day 1 of the wrapped Christmas books. (We wrap everything that’s wintery-ish and take turns unwrapping one every day.) So today is the kick-off! We will unwrap our two today, our two FAVORITE read-alouds that we LOVE so much! We read one in the morning, one at night. I shared our two favorites in the holiday chapter of my book…which you GET NOW if you pre-order. (Order my book here.)

December 2 — Make Christmas countdown chain out of green and red construction paper. Kids LOVE this!

December 3 — Sign Christmas Cards and mail them (#praisehands for kids who can write addresses now!)

December 4 — Sign Christmas Cards and mail them (because lets be honest…this will take forever)

December 5 — Christmas craft from Hobby Lobby
